front desk
Front Desk. Nicole Walz, receptionist. This is the first thing you'll see walking in the door. A smiling face!
Albert
You can always find Albert in our front office, greeting people. He is the perfect dog, requiring no care what so ever! His tail even wags from time to time if you give him a little 'help'! Thank you to our friend Ernest for loaning him to us.
electroacupuncture
This is Edna. She is receiving electroacupuncture. By connecting some of her needles to a small amount of electricity, we can help stimulate her acupuncture points more than just with dry needles. Thanks to Ellen for allowing us to use this photo.
acupuncture
Here is Madison receiving acupuncture for her sore shoulders. Thanks to Tom for allowing us to use this photo. Madison is an agility dog - and they tend to get sore shoulders on occasion.
kennel room
Here is where our patients wait to have their procedures done, and where they recover from surgery.
radiology
This is our xray table. It is adjacent to our dark room where we develop xrays in an automatic processor. This takes less than half the time of the old wet tanks!
surgery
This is a photo of Dr. Jean performing a cat spay (ovariohysterectomy). Notice the patients is on gas anesthesia, and is being monitored with a pulse oximeter and ECG machine. IV fluids are also standard for all surgery patients as well as pain control medications before, during, and after surgery.
Large animal pharmacy
Here is where the large animal veterinarians come in and get medications and supplies to restock their trucks.
Three truck garage
Our garage gives our large animal veterinarians easy access to the large animal pharmacy. From here they can restock their trucks without being out in the elements. Our garage also acts as a storeroom for larger items.
Sterilization Area
This is where we clean, pack up, and sterilize all of our surgical instruments.
Laboratory
The laboratory is where it all happens. We do bloodtesting (Jennifer is processing blood in this photo) for sick and surgical patients, heartworm and lyme testing, fecal analysis, feline leukemia and FIV testing, cytology, milk cultures, urinalysis, and prepare blood samples to be sent to other labs here.
outdoor runs
During warmer weather (but not too hot), we can keep our patients outside while they wait for a procedure, or after they have woken up. There is also an adjacent yard attached for them to run around and relieve themselves in. We clean the area daily so as not to spread any parasites or disease.
