    Dr. Mike Strobush

    Mike is a graduate of the University of Minnesota.  He started at Grassland Veterinary Service right out of veterinary school in 1983. He enjoys working with white tailed deer herds around the state, as well as dairy herd health and nutrition.  His hobbies include hunting, fishing, and riding horses.  Dr. Mike has 3 daughters and lives in Neillsville with his border collie Bailey and four horses.

  • Dr. John Borzillo

    Dr. John Borzillo

    John is a 2009 graduate of The University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine.  John was raised in Missouri and moved to Neillsville in June, 2009 with his wife Emily.  They are expecting their first baby in August 2011.  John’s primary interest is dairy cattle, but he also enjoys working with beef cattle, camelids and horses.  He is a member of the AVMA, WVMA, AABP and ADSA.  In his spare time, John enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and cross country skiing.

    Diana Care D.V.M.

    Dr. Care joins us after graduating from Oregon State University in spring 2011. She joins our companion animal team after a cross country trek across the US on her bicycle! Her hobbies include cycling, running, horseback riding, quilting and cooking.  She hopes to start collecting pets soon, and resides in Neillsville.

  • Dr. Allan Harmening

    Dr. Allan Harmening

    Dr Al is a 1987 graduate of the University of Minnesota. He joined the team at GVS in 1989. His home growing up was near New Ulm, MN. He is a current member of the WVMA, AVMA, and AABP. Dr Al’s primary interests focus on consulting for overall dairy herd health and management. He is certified with the USDA for dairy and beef herd Johnes’ risk assessment, management, and control. Dr Al enjoys gardening, fishing, golf, and spending time with family. He lives in Neillsville with his wife Dr. Jean their son, Clayton, while their daughter Jillian attends college.

    Dr. Jean Liljegren

    Dr. Jean is a 1986 graduate of the University of Minnesota. She enjoys working with dogs and cats and is certified in Veterinary Acupuncture. She is also working on certification for Chinese Veterinary Herbal Medicine. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, digital scrapbooking, and is a consultant for Creative Memories. She has been married to Dr. Al since 1986, and they live in Neillsville. They have two children, Jillian and Clayton, two golden retrievers, and one cat.

    Jeannette Bymers, Office Manager

    Jeannette has been a member of the GVS team since 1983. She received her degree in veterinary technology from the Madison Area Technical College. She and her husband Mike live in Neillsville with their two children, Payton and Jayden. They enjoy camping, fishing, golfing and hunting together. They also have a Labrador named Liberty.

    Wendy Lindner, Certified Veterinary Technician

    She joined the GVS team after graduating from the Madison Area Technical College in 1995. She is one of our three Veterinary Technicians here at GVS. Wendy and her husband Chris live in Loyal with their three children; Katlyn, Anna, and Jake.  Wendy volunteers for many community organizations such as FFA alumni, St. Anthony church and at school. She has a yellow Labrador named Maggie and a cat named Callie.

    Cindy Ure, Receptionist

    Cindy hails from the Granton area and has lived in central WI all her life. She joined the GVS team in July 2005. Her bright smile and quiet manner will greet you as walk in the front door. Cindy lives in Granton and has two grown children, Joel and Tasha.  She has two cats, Skittles and Damion.

    Janet is from Marshfield, and received her Veterinary Technology degree from the University of Minnesota at Waseca in 1988. She joined our team in 1989. In her spare time she enjoys scrapbooking and card making, needlework, and spending time with her husband Scott, and four kids; Justin, Cordell, JanaLee, and Isabella. She resides in rural Neillsville and has 8 cats and one dog.

    Nicole Walz, Front Desk

    Nicole hails from Granton originally. She joined the GVS team in 2008, working at the front desk to greet you when you visit the clinic. Nicole has a daughter, Brittany.  She enjoys scrapbooking photos of Brittany and the rest of her family.  They live in rural Granton with their collie mix, Cocoa, and cat, Boo.

    Jennifer is a graduate of Globe University Veterinary Technician program in 2010. She started working with us while she was still in school, in 2009. Jen is from Loyal, but currently resides in Marshfield. She has a Springer Spaniel named Buddy, and a sweet kitten named Charlie. In her spare time, Jen enjoys volleyball, basketball, and fishing.
